Airtricity League XI 0 Man City 3: Johnson and Wright-Phillips on target in Dublin opener

Two of Manchester City's unsettled stars helped the club to a 3-0 victory in the Dublin Super Cup opener against an Airtricity League XI. [LNB]Shaun Wright-Phillips and Adam Johnson have been linked with moves away from the club in recent weeks and both were on the scoresheet as Roberto Mancini fielded a weakened team.[LNB]Wright-Phillips opened the scoring in the 52nd minute and Johnson produced fine finish before trialist Luca Scapuzzi  added a third late on. [LNB]Abdul Razak  - one of 16 players used - teaming up alongside Gareth Barry in midfield made the first opening of the afternoon, playing in John Guidetti who saw his shot fly just over the bar. [LNB]The deadlock wasn't broken until early in the second half when Barry lifted a pass over to Wright-Phillips who volleyed past Ger Doherty.[LNB] Looking good: Johnson made it two as new signing Sergio Aguero watched on[LNB] [LNB] Just a few minutes later Johnson put City up. Stefan Savic chipped the ball over from inside City's half and Johnson, one on one with the keeper coolly slotted home. [LNB]City spurned further opportunities on a what was a comfortable afternoon for Mancini's men who have just returned from a successful tour of the US.
