Adebayor - Terry could come

Emmanuel Adebayor sees no reason why he could not start the new season playing alongside John Terry. The Togo international striker recently completed a £25million move to Manchester City from Arsenal, with the Blues currently in the middle of a substantial summer shopping spree. Chelsea skipper Terry remains prominent on their wish list, with two bids already lodged for the England international. Terry himself has remained tight-lipped throughout the ongoing transfer saga, fuelling speculation that he could be set for an imminent move to Eastlands. Chelsea remain reluctant to part with their talismanic leader, and insist he is not for sale, but Adebayor believes City could yet pull off a remarkable piece of business. "I think there is a big possibility John will join us," he told Sky Sports News. "People didn't believe six months ago that Carlos Tevez or myself would be playing here. "We have come to Manchester City to be THE big team. Why shouldn't John be persuaded to come here, too?"
