Emmanuel Adebayor's move to Manchester City looks to be edging ever closer with the news he has been granted a work permit. The Arsenal striker attended a hearing in Manchester on Tuesday and Sky Sports News sources can now reveal there have been no complications with what is a routine process. A remarkable week at Eastlands which has seen City snare Carlos Tevez from neighbours Manchester United and reignite interest in Chelsea and England captain John Terry, could be concluded with the acquisition of Adebayor. It is thought a fee in the region of £20-25million is close to being agreed between the two clubs, with the player ready to quit Emirates for a move north. Having already landed Gareth Barry, Tevez and Roque Santa Cruz it is City that are certainly edging ahead in the transfer stakes this summer. Arsenal have yet to pass official comment on the current speculation surrounding their Togolese front-man.
