[LNB]Italian job: Beckham's returning to AC Milan[LNB]AC Milan will be getting a 'highly-motivated' David Beckham in January, according to Rossoneri midfielder Clarence Seedorf. [LNB]Beckham last week agreed a second six-month loan spell at the San Siro as heseeks to earn a place in England's World Cup squad. [LNB]Beckham has been told by Fabio Capello he needs top-level competition to showhe merits a place on the plane to South Africa next summer and Seedorf believesthat will ensure Milan get a player desperate to play at the top of his game. [LNB]'This is a very positive thing because it means that he's highly motivated andhe has to perform to be able to go,' the Dutchman told Sky Sports News. [LNB]'The fact that he's going to play for a team in Europe doesn't guaranteeanything with Fabio Capello so he needs to perform well and that's what he'sgoing to do, as he did when he came here last year.' [LNB]Beckham enjoyed a similar stint at Milan at the start of 2009 and proved a hitbefore returning to the Los Angeles Galaxy. [LNB]Seedorf added: 'I am very pleased for him because I think it will be importantfor him to play at this level until the World Cup, to be able to enjoy that partof his career I know he would like to participate in. [LNB]Reunited: Seedorf is looking forward to teaming up with Beckham again[LNB]'I think David is a very good player and he's going to be fitter than he isnow in the States, because the level is different and the training level isdifferent.[LNB]'We are going to help him, he's going to help us.' [LNB]Before Beckham heads to Italy, however, he and the Galaxy will aim to claim theMajor League Soccer title. The Galaxy edged past groundshare rivals Chivas USA last night at the HomeDepot Centre to secure a place in Friday's Western Conference finals againstHouston Dynamo. [LNB] On song: Beckham helped LA Galaxy to a vital win over Chivas[LNB]Chicago Fire and Real Salt Lake meet the following day to determine the EasternConference champions, with both match winners advancing to the MLS Cup final inSeattle on November 22. [LNB]Beckham said the Galaxy would be staying calm in the wake of its 1-0 second-legvictory over Chivas. [LNB]'We're not going to get too excited. We're happy we're through and we deserveto be through but it's another step forward to what we want to do,' Beckhamtold ESPN. [LNB]'It's what we want to do for this franchise, everybody that's supported us allthe way through, they deserve this. The fans deserve this and the playersdefinitely deserve it. [LNB]Beckham left the game soon after Landon Donovan had scored the winning penaltyin the 73rd minute, looking in some discomfort after taking a knock to hisback. [LNB] The 34-year-old midfielder, who will miss England's friendly against Brazil inQatar as a result of Galaxy's progress, received treatment on the bench as histeam-mates held on for victory and said the lower back problem was not a seriousissue. [LNB]'It's very sore but the win helps. It was a big game for us tonight and astrong performance,' he added.[LNB]'We defended really well, especially after the last game.
