Laudrup takes Mallorca helm

Former Denmark great Michael Laudrup is delighted to be back in work in Spain after agreeing a two-year contract to take charge at Real Mallorca. The 46-year-old former Getafe coach will have to work under tight financial restrictions at the Son Moix, but is content to try his luck with the Islanders. He told reporters: "I'm very happy to be at Mallorca and also to return to La Liga, which is the league in which they practice the best football. "It's not up to me to say the aims of the team. It has to be up to the players to set them and be convinced of them. "There may be many changes to the squad. What's important is that those who remain are happy and know that this is something serious and that there has to be a correct path."
