Malaga's Chilean coach Manuel Pellegrini on Thursday signed a two-year extension to his contract that will keep him at the Spanish club until 2015.
The 56-year-old, who has also coached Real Madrid and Villarreal, joined Malaga in November, taking over from Portugal's Jesualdo Ferreira.
Malaga finished 11th last season but have embarked upon an ambitious player recruitment programme this summer, backed by the fortune of Qatari owner Abdullah ben Nasser Al Thani.
