Town reject Evans approach

Macclesfield Town have rejected an offer from Lincoln City to sign Gareth Evans.
It had been thought that the striker was on the verge of sealing a switch to Sincil Bank but the Red Imps have refused to pay a transfer fee for the player.
"Lincoln aren't willing to meet this condition and we don't think it appropriate for us to forego our right in this respect," club chairman Mike Rance told the Silkmen's official website.
"We'd really like Gareth to stay with us as an important part of our new strikeforce and benefit from the improvements we're putting in place over the summer."
