Three still absent for Shakers clash

Midfielder Reid (ankle), left-back Tremarco and Bencherif (ankle) remain sidelined but Ricky Sappleton and Ben Wright could return after missing Tuesday's 1-1 draw at Accrington. Silkmen assistant boss Gary Simpson, who was placed in charge of the side following the death of Keith Alexander last week, has no other injury or suspension concerns. Simpson has guided Macclesfield to four points in two games and the derby against Bury will be their first home match since their manager's passing. Alexander, a hugely popular figure in the game, also enjoyed a spell as director of football at Bury.
