Simpson: Not out of the woods yet
Macclesfield manager Gary Simpson was disappointed with the way his side easily let in goals following their 4-0 home defeat by Stevenage.Braces from Mark Roberts and Robert Sinclair gave Boro a convincing victory as Macc barely had an attack of any note all game.Simpson said: "We tried to mix it up and give one or two other players a game and I thought we did okay to start off with. In fact our shape gave them a few problems but then we just started giving goals away."The second goal was the real killer, the third goal we went to sleep for and the fourth one we just let him run through us."But at the end of the day Stevenage are a big powerful side. I think they played six centre-backs against us. People say we're a big side but Stevenage are big and powerful as well and I think to be fair they will have a real run at it this season."If you'd said we would have taken 11 points from six games I would have accepted that but we're certainly not out of the woods yet. I've always said we need 50 points. Every game is a key game and we've just got to go again against Burton on Wednesday."
