Silkmen to unveil Ince

Ex-England midfielder Paul Ince is set to be unveiled as the new Macclesfield Town manager at a press conference on Monday afternoon. The 39-year-old former West Ham, Manchester United, Liverpool, Inter Milan, Middlesbrough and Wolves man has recently just left League Two rivals Swindon following a brief playing stint and will take over from Brian Horton, who was sacked on October 1. Ince, who became favourite for the post when he was spotted at Macclesfield's recent games against Bury and Bristol Rovers, must also decide whether there is a role for current caretaker boss Ian Brightwell at Moss Rose. He faces a difficult task to keep the Silkmen in the Football League, as they are currently seven points adrift at the foot of the League Two table.
