Silkmen swoop for Thomas

Macclesfield Town manager Paul Ince has strengthened his squad by snapping up Danny Thomas who had been released by Hereford United at the end of the season.

The 26-year-old former Bournemouth and Boston United midfielder has penned a two-year deal with the Silkmen.

Ince told the club's official website: "Danny was also speaking to other clubs with deals on the table, so it's pleasing that he's chosen to sign for us.

"I believe all good teams need to play with width and Danny certainly offers us that.

"He's got good feet and a turn of pace that will make it uncomfortable for defenders at our level."
