Silkmen stay delights Bell

Macclesfield Town midfielder Lee Bell has signed a contract extension that will keep him at Moss Rose until the end of next season.

The former Mansfield Town star, who has been a first-team regular for the Silkmen this term, is delighted to have sorted out his immediate future.

He told Town's official website: "I've really enjoyed my time here. It's a very well-run club with lots of good people and that's an important part of the decision to commit for another year.

"The temptation is often to go out there and chase the best deal possible in terms of money. But I know players at clubs who aren't getting paid and that can be very unsettling.

"Stability is increasingly something you look for and Macc, thanks to the owners, the board and the gaffer, seem to have their head screwed on when it comes to their finances."
