Silkmen offer Doughty deal

Defender Phil Doughty has returned to Blackpool after his loan period with Macclesfield Town ended, however Ian Brightwell has offered the defender a permanent contract at Moss Rose.
Doughty missed out on the Silkmen's weekend win at Peterborough due to the restriction of loan players allowed in any squad.
Macclesfield currently have five loanees in their squad, which is the maximum possible for any league side, therefore Doughty was omitted from the squad.
Brightwell told the Silkmen's official website: "Phil had to miss out as we were up to our quota last week, but he has trained with us this week and we have made him an offer to sign for the club on a permanent basis.
"He has gone away to think about it and we hope to hear back from him next week."
Doughty is reported to be considering offers from other clubs as well.
