Silkmen lose appeal

Macclesfield Town have failed with their appeal to the Football Association against Alan Navarro's red card in the 1-0 victory against Rochdale on Tuesday.

The midfielder was dismissed in the 37th minute for violent conduct after he was adjudged to have elbowed Dale's John Doolan.

Navarro will now serve a three-match suspension.

Despite being a man down for more than half the match, Paul Ince's side held on to secure their first League Two win of the season.
