Silkmen keen on Westwood

Macclesfield Town are interested in signing defender Ashley Westwood from Cheshire neighbours Chester City.
The Silkmen have made an approach to the Deva Stadium outfit to sign the transfer listed central defender.
The 30-year-old spent two months on loan at Swindon Town last season after falling down the pecking order Chester.
"Macclesfield Town have made enquiries about Ashley Westwood," read a club statement.
"The 30-year-old was transfer listed this week after discussions with manager Bobby Williamson."
