Macclesfield Town boss Keith Alexander was delighted to see veteran striker Simon Yeo score his first goal for the club in the 2-1 victory over Luton Town.
The 34-year-old has played only a peripheral role for the Silkmen so far this season, but marked his first league start of the campaign with a crucial strike against the Hatters.
Alexander told the club's official website: "I brought Simon Yeo to the club despite his years, because in all his career he has scored goals. He will score when he gets the chances."
Yeo himself told the Manchester Evening News: "When Keith asked me to come down to Macc, I felt I had another season in me.
"I've played for the gaffer across the lower leagues and really needed no persuading.
"It's great to be able to pass on a few things to the young lads. Come to think of it, it's also good to be able to pass on a few things to the middle-aged players!"
