Nigerian striker Fola Onibuje has left Macclesfield Town by mutual consent.
The Lagos-born forward only signed for the Silkmen in February, but after making one substitute league appearance against Notts County, he picked up an injury and has been released.
Onibuje has been well-traveled in his career turning out for several lower league outfits. He first signed professional terms with Preston in 2003.
The 23-year-old then went on to play for Huddersfield Town, Barnsley, Peterborough United, Cambridge United, Swindon Town, Brentford, Wycombe Wanderers and Shrewsbury Town all in the space of four years.
The 6ft 6ins striker enjoyed his best spell in league football at Cambridge, where he made 37 appearances scoring 11 goals in the process.
Silkmen manager Keith Alexander told the club's official website: "I wanted to have a look at Fola, but things just didn't work out as we had planned."
