Macclesfield Town have extended the loan stay of striker John Murphy until January.
The 30-year-old Blackpool hitman originally signed a one-month loan deal at Moss Rose, but despite suffering a back injury has persuaded Silkmen boss Paul Ince to extend his stay with the League Two basement club.
Meanwhile, the Silkmen have suffered another serious injury blow after Jimmy McNulty has suffered a fractured fibula in training.
Ince lost Jonny Brain and Andrew Teague to broken legs during last weekend's 1-1 draw with Stockport County, before on-loan midfielder Simon Wiles was also stretchered off cruciate knee ligament damage.
"I've never seen anything like it," Ince told the club's official website. "I've been in the game 20 years and you could never ever expect that.
"Not one player but two with broken legs and one with potential cruciate damage, it's heartbreaking, it really is."
