McIntyre signs on at Macc

Macclesfield Town manager Paul Ince has handed defender Kevin McIntyre a new two-year contract.

The 29-year-old wing-back netted ten times for the Silkmen last season and has made 125 appearances since arriving at Moss Rose in 2004.

"I've been here for two-and-a-half seasons and I'm really pleased the gaffer wants me here for two more," McIntyre told the club's official website.

"Hopefully, if we can get a few new faces in, we can challenge at the top end of the table come August.

"Last season we weren't consistent enough, but we proved time and again that we could beat anyone in League Two."
