League Two basement side Macclesfield Town have signed Portsmouth back-up goalkeeper Asmir Begovic on a month's loan.
The 19-year-old has yet to break into the first-team picture with Pompey and was loaned out to Belgian side La Louviere last season.
Begovic, born in Bosnia, is an Under-20 international with Canada.
Silkmen boss Paul Ince said: "I'm good mates with Harry Redknapp and he wanted Asmir to get out and get some experience, so we've been able to bring him in.
"Apart from the performance against Boston, I've been happy with the players over the last two or three weeks.
"I've sat down with the chairman and agreed it wouldn't have been right to have rushed in four or five players."
