Under-pressure Macclesfield Town manager Brian Horton remains proud of his players as he attempts to lift the Silkmen away from their perilous position at the foot of the League Two table.
Town have made an abysmal start to the campaign, taking only two points from their opening nine matches, and lost 2-0 to Walsall at the weekend.
However, Horton insists: "It was a really good performance and we didn't deserve to lose. If we'd drawn we might have been a bit miffed, but to lose 2-0 wasn't a fair reflection of the game.
"You couldn't tell the difference between fourth in the table and bottom and I'm very proud of my players."
