Macclesfield Town have made a double signing, bringing in defender Richard Walker and Everton youngster Scott Spencer. Centre-back Walker, 27, was a free agent after leaving Port Vale, having also played for Crewe Alexandra and Wrexham during his career. Nineteen-year-old striker Spencer has yet to make a senior appearance for the Toffees, but will hope to make a first-team impact at Moss Rose. Silkmen boss Keith Alexander told the club's official website: "Richard is a very solid player and gives us extra options at the back. "Scott has got undoubted talent. We've not been scoring enough goals in recent weeks, so hopefully he can give us an extra dimension."
