Victory delight for Silkmen boss

The visitors took the lead when Gareth Evans' volley found its way into the net. The Quakers equalised after a mix-up between between keeper Jon Brain and Sean Hessey allowed David Poole to score, but Evans converted a spot-kick after Sinclair was fouled to seal victory for the Silkmen. Alexander praised the character of his side, who came back to win despite the setback of conceding a poor goal. "We have a really young side and they are all doing their best and you can't ask for any more than that as a manager," he said. "What was really pleasing for me was the way that we came back from conceding an equaliser and then, even when we regained the lead, we continued to pour forward looking for a third goal."
