Stanley hold on for stalemate

Though Keith Alexander's men were unlucky to hit the woodwork twice, it was really a lack of composure in front of goal that saw them stumble to their 12th draw of the season.[LNB]Accrington striker Bobby Grant had two early shots saved easily by John Brain but it was Macclesfield who had a golden chance just after the half-hour mark when Ross Draper picked out Ben Wright who controlled neatly only to lump an eight-yard volley over. Michael Symes then released Grant at the other end but the striker sliced wide from 15 yards.[LNB]The home side went close just before the break when teenage centre-back Shaun Brisley rose above the defence at the far post, only to plant Izak Reid's cross against the foot of the post.[LNB]After the break ex-Liverpool trainee Craig Lindfield twice tested Accrington keeper Ian Dunbavin, first with a low shot from a narrow angle and then when he had broken past the offside trap only to see his 15-yard shot parried onto the post.[LNB]At the death midfield man Jimmy Ryan went close for Accrington, sliding a 20-yard drive wide of the far post.[LNB][LNB]
