Simpson sorry for Macc horror show
Macclesfield boss Gary Simpson has apologised to fans following Saturday's 3-0 surrender at Accrington.
The Silkmen were a distinct second-best throughout against John Coleman's side and Simpson admitted his men got what they deserved.
Simpson's men came in for criticism from the travelling fans after a defeat than left them second bottom in npower League Two.
"To be honest you can totally understand that from the fans," said Simpson.
"The absolute minimum is to give 100% in every game and that didn't happen.
"I can fully understand their frustration and can only apologise for the performance. There were a lot of disappointed people in the dressing room after the match and we all know that it simply wasn't good enough."
