Macclesfield manager Gary Simpson was full of praise for his side after they recorded a double over Morecambe with a 2-1 win at the Globe Arena.
Goals either side of the break from Hamza Bencherif and Tyrone Barnett gave the visitors the three points they fully deserved.
Simpson said: "I thought we were were magnificent for much of the game and could have won by more.
"The opening 20 minutes were excellent and I don't think too many people would have argued if we were 3-0 up at the break the football was that good at times.
"As a team we just seem to be getting better and better and there is more confidence around now and I think we can now look at next season and look to continue to build.
"It's never easy coming to a place like Morecambe but to beat them in the style we did really bodes well for the future."
