Simpson left to rue missed chances

Striker Ben Wright sliced harmlessly over and the home side twice hit the post as they failed to convert their chances.[LNB]Simpson took charge in the absence of manager Keith Alexander, who missed the game at Moss Rose through illness but is expected to be back with the team in training on Monday.[LNB]And Simpson said: "We could have won it, we had two that hit the post. Ross Draper put one over the bar as did Ben Wright, and on another day we could have nicked it quite easily.[LNB]"If we had gone in front I'm sure we would have kept the lead because at least we were quite solid at the back.[LNB]"We just want to pick up enough points now and keep battling hard. They say we've got games in hand but if you look at them they are all tough fixtures away from home."[LNB][LNB]
