After an emotional build-up to the first home game since Alexander's death, which included floral tributes from all six clubs he had managed, goals from Ben Wright and substitute Craig Lindfield earned the Silkmen victory.[LNB]The game was one to forget for the visitors as they also had Ryan Lowe dismissed after he launched an elbow at Macclesfield skipper Sean Hessey under the nose of the referee.[LNB]Simpson said: "The gaffer always said we had a good bunch of lads and that they haven't got the points their performances had merited. Perhaps now the club can go on to greater things and some of these young players might even play at a higher level.[LNB]"It's been a week of ups and downs and clearly it was a very emotional day with all of Keith's family here and I'm just delighted that the team have put in that extra bit of effort again. We created so many chances but no-one could say that we didn't deserve to win this one."[LNB]Discussing his own future, Simpson added: "I don't know what's going to happen but I'd quite like to have some options."[LNB][LNB]
