Simpson buoyed by Gray extension

Macclesfield boss Gary Simpson has been boosted for the home clash with Bury after Dan Gray extended his loan from Chesterfield until the end of the season. Goalkeeper Jack Cudworth is expected to be fit after missing last week's 4-1 defeat at Southend with a back strain but Carl Tremarco and Shaun Brisley remain sidelined with hip injuries. Earlier this month the Silkmen signed left-sided French defender Tony Diagne on a contract until the end of the season and Simpson is happy with his club's business. He said: "I was extremely pleased to get Dan Gray to extend his loan deal and I'm confident that Tony Diagne will be a useful addition at the back given the number of games we are now looking at over the coming months."
