Silkmen win again
Macclesfield continued their pre-season preparations with a 2-1 win at Altrincham.
Tyrone Barnett and Emile Sinclair scored either side of half-time for the Silkmen.
"On paper I think this was one of the two toughest games we have played in pre-season," boss Gary Simpson told the club`s official website.
"This was a local derby against a Blue Square Premier side and we kept the ball very well and played some good football.
"We created a lot of chances and could have scored more but they had their own opportunities so it certainly wasn`t an easy match, but we looked pretty comfortable."
