Silkmen see off Man City XI
Tyrone Barnett and Nat Brown were on target in either half as Macclesfield beat a Manchester City XI 2-1 at the Moss Rose.
Barnett headed home from a corner to put the Silkmen ahead but the visitors were soon level as Omae Elabdellouai jinked past two players before slotting under Jose Veiga.
But Gary Simpson's men claimed victory in the 53rd minute when Brown headed home a free-kick from Matty Hamshaw.
