Rance: Training ground will be key

Rance also confirmed work is continuing on plans to move the Silkmen to a new stadium, while their new training headquarters at Egerton are scheduled to be completed in time for the start of the new campaign. "The move to our new training HQ at Egerton in Knutsford is exciting, but brings its own challenges," Rance said. "Once the current development work there is completed then Egerton's international standard artificial pitch, range of grass pitches, new changing rooms, gym and cafeteria facilities will give us facilities that will be the envy of a number of Championship clubs, let alone our competitors in League Two. "Being close to the M6 is more convenient for many of our players but also less convenient for a few. We'll need to make it work, but I'm certain it will make us more competitive. "And we're still working on plans and concepts for a new stadium. This is a serious project for the club but a difficult and challenging one that needs great care and attention."
