Morgan retains armband

Macclesfield manager Gary Simpson has confirmed that Paul Morgan will continue as captain for the forthcoming League Two campaign. Fellow defender Nat Brown has been handed the role of vice captain. "Paul is perfect captain material. He won`t mind me saying that he`s been around the block a bit so he has bags of experience," Simpson told the club`s official website. "He is committed but at the same time he is a very level-headed character and that is what you want out there on the park, especially given the number of younger players we have in the squad. "He is a fantastic role model and I know the younger lads look up to him and I had no hesitation in asking him to do the job again. "In his absence Nat Brown will step up to captain. Nat is very similar to Paul in many ways. He never gets flustered and again the lads certainly respect him as a player and a person."
