Morgan not Alexander's fall guy

Morgan's soft own-goal cancelled out Ricky Sappleton's early strike and helped extend Barnet's unbeaten run to six games. Alexander said: "I don't think it would be fair to label Paul as captain calamity, far from it, he's been absolutely outstanding for us in all his time here and I can only remember him making two mistakes. "It was a good ball into the box, he tried to clear it and it failed. Sometimes you've just got to accept those things in football." Alexander was full of praise for youngster Sappleton, who powered home Macc's goal in the 12th minute with a left-footed shot on the turn from 22 yards. "The boy can play but he's only had three or four games in the last year and we're trying to get him fitter. He's been on big money at Leicester for an 18-year-old and one hopes that the harsh realities of the game don't catch up with him if he fails to get another contract next year."
