Macclesfield defender Paul Morgan will miss the start of the season as he requires wrist surgery. Morgan fell awkwardly in a training session this week and is expected to be out for around two months after scans revealed a fracture. "Unfortunately we have seen the specialist and Paul needs to have an operation to have his wrist pinned after sustaining a fracture," Town physio Nick Reid told the club`s official website. "The rule of thumb on an injury like this is about eight weeks before he can start playing, but at least with a wrist injury it shouldn`t affect his overall fitness as he will be able to do fitness work on bikes and running within a week or so. "Anything less than eight weeks would be a bonus but there is always a chance and as soon as his surgeon says he is able to get back on the pitch we will see him back in action."
