Sean McConville scored his first Stanley hat-trick as Accrington secured their first win of the season with a 3-0 victory over Macclesfield. The midfielder opened his account when he slid home at the far post from a yard out after Ray Putterill had played in a superb cross on 29 minutes. And McConville doubled his tally on 38 minutes when he turned in the area and fired low into the net from eight yards out beyond keeper Jose Veiga. Macc only had half chances, the best falling to Emile Sinclair but he blasted over in a good position. McConville celebrated his first ever hat-trick when he blasted home from the left from 25 yards on 73 minutes as Stanley warmed up for their Carling Cup clash with Newcastle on Wednesday.
