McCall confirms Evans interest
McCall, boosted this week by Thorne's decision to accept a 50% wage cut to play on for one more season at Valley Parade, has confirmed Evans, 21, is one of his top targets.
He said: "We've made an inquiry but at the moment nothing will be happening because of the fee Macclesfield are after."
McCall added: "We know we've got a good goalscorer [in Thorne] and now it's about finding the right one alongside him.
"If we manage to bring in a young one up front, they can only learn from Pete."
