Whitaker back for Macc

Macclesfield will have midfielder Danny Whitaker available as they look to cause an FA Cup upset against Sheffield Wednesday.

The Silkmen welcome the Owls looking to make it five straight victories and they will be boosted by Whitaker's availability having served a one-match ban for his fifth yellow card of the campaign.

Manager John Askey picked out the recalled Paul Lewis for praise after he returned to the starting line-up in the 3-0 win at Hyde while Paul Turnbull will hope to keep his place after regaining his place having served a suspension.

Scott Boden will keep his place after netting a memorable second-half hat-trick.

Sheffield Wednesday will be without striker Connor Wickham and defender Roger Johnson.

Wickham, who took his goals tally to nine for the season in the 2-0 win over Blackpool on New Year's Day, has not been given permission to play by parent club Sunderland, so Jermaine Johnson could return to the starting line-up in a central role.

Roger Johnson will also be missing at Moss Rose as he has completed his loan spell, but the club are in talks with parent club Wolves about him returning to Hillsborough.

Wednesday's first win in four league games against the Seasiders lifted the club out of the bottom three.
