The former Lincoln forward, 35, joined the Silkmen last summer and scored seven times in 22 starts.
Yeo told the club's official website: "It's been on my mind for some time now if I am being honest.
"It has been incredibly frustrating as a result of little niggling injuries.
"Some of the lads and the gaffer have tried to persuade me to stay on but there comes a time when you just have to be brave and decide to call it a day."
