The Silkmen beat Torquay 2-1 at Moss Rose on Saturday to record only their second win of the campaign. A second-half double from Algerian midfielder Hamza Bencherif gave Macclesfield their first win in six games and eased the pressure on Alexander. Striker Kyle Wilson is nursing a groin injury sustained in training and could miss out again at the Pirelli Stadium. Defender Shaun Hessey is still undergoing rehabilitation for a knee problem and has yet to feature this season. But Alexander has no other concerns and said of Bencherif: "The lad has certainly got ability and will make even more of an impact when he has some games under his belt."
