Lowe pens new deal with Silkmen

The 18-year-old has penned a one-year deal after two years with the Silkmen, but coach Keith Alexander explained that the decision to sign the youth team player was difficult. "The decision on whether or not to offer Matt a deal was always a borderline one," he told the club's official website. "Having had time to rethink and speak to a few other people we have decided to reward him with a one year deal." "He's worked hard and now has the opportunity to show everyone he has what it takes to make the step up. It's always a risk with any young player but Matt has his head screwed on and knows what is expected of him. "Clubs like Macc can't survive without their younger players. We don't have the ability to go out their and just buy in players."
