Ince dreading Silkmen cup tie

MK Dons boss Paul Ince admits he is not relishing the prospect of ending former club Macclesfield's FA Cup hopes on Saturday.

Ince will renew acquaintances with the club that gave him his first job in management in 2006 when the Silkmen travel to stadium:mk in the FA Cup first round proper.

"Once the draw came out the phone started ringing, but I was devastated to be fair," Ince told the club's official website.

"It's important for clubs at this level to try and get to the third round, draw a big club and hopefully generate some revenue off the back of it and that's obviously not going to happen for one of us now.

"It's a game I want to win because MK Dons is my priority, but it would have been nice for someone like Macclesfield to get someone big in the third round, which would help them in the future.

"It's a game I'm looking forward to and hopefully it can be the start of a good run in the competition for us."
