Imps play down Alexander rumours

Alexander, currently manager of the Imps' League Two rivals Macclesfield, still lives in the area and has been linked with the job following the sacking of Peter Jackson on Wednesday. Alexander is highly regarded at Lincoln after guiding the club to four consecutive play-off campaigns between 2003 and 2006. However, City vice-chairman Bob Dorrian told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "I think it would be difficult for Keith to revisit his former stamping ground. "We don't expect him to apply and we have not approached him either."
