Groundhog Day for Macc chief

Macclesfield boss Gary Simpson suffered another dose of deja-vu after the goalless draw against Aldershot. Macc are without a win since November but should have gone ahead when Emile Sinclair was faced with an empty net only to fire wide. "It was the same old, same old," said Simpson. "We were the better team and certainly had the better chances but still couldn't find the back of the net. But at least we created the chances and kept a clean sheet. "I asked for a clean sheet and to be fair to them, they absolutely battled their socks off to get it. We would have taken a point before the game but I'm disappointed we didn't take all three. "Everybody's here for a reason and if Emile scored more goals, he wouldn't be here. That's the top and bottom of it."
