Defensive duo absent for Silkmen
Macclesfield boss Gary Simpson will again be without defenders Carl Tremarco and Shaun Brisley when they travel to Oxford.
The pair remain sidelined with hip injuries but utility player Nat Brown is expected to be available after missing the Silkmen`s last outing against Gillingham on December 11.
Midfielder Lewis Chalmers should be back after limping out in the 11th minute against the Gills and on-loan Everton defender Aristote Nsiala is hoping to shake off a knock.
Simpson remains keen to bolster his squad next month, but will not put the club's financial health at risk.
He said: "The club quite rightly needs to balance its books. There's also a lot to be said for freshening the place up, and new players can help you do that."
