Manager John Coleman is confident that Accrington are capable of reaching the play-offs, providing they play to their maximum. Stanley finished 15th in League Two last season and Coleman is confident of faring better this time around. He told the club's official website: "It's a tough league and we'll do the best we can, hopefully our best can get us to the play-offs at the end of the season. It's always going to be hard to replace the quality of players that we lost but I'm confident and we'll do the best we can." Meanwhile, former Macclesfield defender Sean Hessey, one of the 14 trialists used in the 3-3 draw with Clitheroe on Tuesday night, captained the side for 90 minutes. Coleman said, "We'll have to wait and see with Sean. He led the team well and had a good game so we'll see what happens, he's certainly someone we're interested in."
