The Mariners looked set for a vital victory when Jamie Devitt fired them ahead shortly before half-time, but a free-kick from Richard Butcher brought Macclesfield level in the 58th minute.[LNB]The Silkmen remain eight points clear of Grimsby following the draw - their third in succession - and Bolland said: "We knew Grimsby would be desperate to end their run of 23 games without a win and we knew it would be like a cup final.[LNB]"It was important we didn't lose the game. I thought we had some good chances to actually win it.[LNB]"We're happy with the way we worked and battled and on another night we could have had all three points.[LNB]"We had the lion's share of the play in the first half and the goal came against the run of play. Then a wonder strike got us back in the game. He has curled it in the top corner. The wind was quite deceptive."[LNB][LNB]
