Bolland happy with Macc chance

Paul Bolland jumped at the chance to re-sign for Macclesfield following a "difficult" summer. Bolland made 29 appearances for the Silkmen last season but was released in the summer, before being offered a new one-year deal by boss Gary Simpson. "It's been a difficult couple of months," Bolland told Macclesfield's official website. "It's tough because there's less money available at the moment. Teams are working on tighter budgets with smaller squads so it can be a bit of a scrap. "I've been keeping in touch with the gaffer here and when he called me and asked me if I would like to come back, I jumped at the chance because I really enjoyed it here." Former Bradford and Notts County player Bolland is also confident that he can produce more consistent displays for Town after a succession of injury niggles last term. "Hopefully I showed in patches what I could do last season even if I wasn't as consistent as I could have been in a stop-star season with a few niggly injuries," he added. "I'm a lot fitter having come through last year."
