Alexander: Strikers made difference

Adam Le Fondre, signed from Rochdale for £150,000, grabbed the Millers' opening goal before Tom Pope - who cost the same price from Crewe - doubled the lead. Matt Tipton pulled one back for the home side but Danny Harrison secured the points late on.[LNB]Alexander said: "They have spent over £250,000 on their strikers and both of ours came for nothing."[LNB]Tipton had missed a one-on-one chance to open the scoring in the eighth minute but Alexander refused to criticise him.[LNB]He added: "Strikers play at this level because they don't score every chance and I'm certainly not going to hold that miss against Matthew, he's been working very hard and putting in a shift for the team and his finish for his goal was outstanding.[LNB]"I'm obviously disappointed with the defeat but the manner of the performance was pleasing, the difference was in the box. I'm pleased with five points from five games but we obviously need to get more."[LNB][LNB]
