Alexander requests fans support

The Silkmen sit second-bottom in League Two having won just once so far this term and Alexander came in for strong criticism after they were thumped 4-1 by Chesterfield last Saturday. "I've been around long enough," he told the Macclesfield Express. "I expect to get criticism, we all do after Saturday. "I usually hear one or two shouts during a game, I've been called all the names under the sun in my time. "People can say what they want, the football supporter's job is to have a moan. They pay their money and they're entitled to do that. "But they also need to get behind the team. We were poor, there's no getting away from that, but we've got to put it down to one of those days."
